RHS Chelsea Flower Show
Gold Medal Winner 2002

This RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2002 Gold Medal winning Sanctuary Garden for Merrill Lynch was about creating a haven, which I think a garden is all about.

The water feature was inspired by the sculpture by Ben Nicholson at Sutton Place in Surrey, and was a water wall with a circular light box within it to represent the sun and the moon, without which life would not be possible.

The wavy grass panel is a representation of the umbilical cord of life, together with the five senses sculptures by Stephen Cox makes life as we know it today.
